Unlearn gender inequality/taboos and relearn gender sensitivity with Good Universe.
Our goals are functionally oriented towards 09 SDGs. Our implementation strategy includes workshops, training sessions, interventions, and campaigns.
We have both offline and online programs and sessions to encourage participation and community building that promote our goals to a wider reach audience.
Aligning with UN SDG’s 11, 12 and 13, Good Universe has been addressing and acting upon the potential fallouts of climate change in the development and social sectors within several Indian cities.
Living in a resource-constrained world, we know the value of clean water, air, and land. Women, along with transgender and socio-economic minorities form a disproportionately large share as vulnerable communities and they are afflicted by severe climate change factors. It is detrimental to their lives, bodies, and mental and physical health.
We consider these arenas as deeply interlinked and work at the intersection to create a climate-resilient community.
Health is an integral parameter of any society’s growth, and we work together to create awareness and provide proper services addressing the physical, mental, and sexual reproductive health of the marginalised communities of India.
We are aligned to the UN SDGs such as 3, 4 and 5 in this focal area of our work.
Working along with health professionals, clinical psychologists and public health specialists, Good Universe redesigns the urban and rural health system by providing accessibility to proper sanitation, sustainable menstrual and sexual reproductive health practices, and affordable mental health services.
Through various initiatives, such as the recent one called Good Walk, we create fundraisers to provide sustainable menstrual products to women from marginal communities within the cities of India.
Through our “Jeewani” initiative, we tried our best to be present for the less fortunate people and provide necessities such as essential kits, pregnancy kits and health care kits to them during the pandemic within the several states of India.
With the help of social media platforms, we conducted “My Period Story” talks, PCOS conference, and IG Live series where we engaged the youth, professionals, influencers, commoners, and students around the globe to question and openly discuss various stigmas and taboos related to sexual, mental health practices, and menstruation.
Our aim is to create awareness, enable the public to co-create a world founded in gender equality, mental and sexual well-being and give access to affordable mental health services and sustainable menstrual products.
Working closely with gender minorities and marginalised communities of India, Good Universe aims to break the gendered constraints, taboos, and inequalities existing within our system.
Aligning with UN SDGs of 3, 4, 5, 8 and 10, Good Universe relentlessly works to create awareness, accessibility, and affordability of these SDGs within several cities of India.
Through one of our initiatives, Invisible Scars, Good Universe proposes to provide financial, legal, and mental health support for victims of domestic abuse and circulates a safe and anonymous virtual space for the survivors of domestic abuse to recover from societal and personal trauma through nurturing and encouraging the community of survivors.
We work along with LGBTQ+ community and provide them with a safe space to address their societal and personal problems. Our impacts are not statistical markers for us, but our persistent growth towards a gender-equal and violence free world.
